[OFFICIAL VIDEOS] Swedish House Mafia "Antidote" & Dada Life "Kick Out The Epic Motherfucker"

These are two very different videos, but they are both quite awesome.  Swedish House Mafia and Knife Party's video for "Antidote" is about a heist and is shot in first person, from the viewpoint of one of the robbers.  It's a really well directed music video.  Dada Life's music video for "Kick Out The Epic Motherfucker" has new vocals on it and is a cool video, it has cameos from Porter Robinson, Skrillex, Dillon Francis, Laidback Luke, Chuckie, Tiesto and Kaskade.  Do yourself a favor and check these videos out.

Emancipator - Elephant Survival

I rarely listen to a track twice in a row, but if I do I know it's a real jam.  That was the case with this new track from Emancipator.  He's such a good producer, has great beats and really defines "instrumental" hip hop.  This track's a real gem, he uses flawless incorporation of guitar (and banjo), pan flute and violin in this track.  Emancipator has two albums out that have so many rotations that I've lost count.  I'm back in Charlotte now for the holidays, watched football all day long and couldn't be more happy.  Enjoy.

Dada Life - Queen Club: Paris, France Dec. 10 2011

My fault for not posting in so long, I was in Paris for 3 days, then have been incredibly busy since with final papers I've been putting off.  Anyways, Paris was the shit.  We saw Madeon at Social Club on Thursday with Russ Chimes, it was incredible.  The highlight of the trip was on Saturday we saw Dada Life at Queen Club, which was absolutely nuts. The first hour of the set was broadcast online, so I've included the video footage above and the first hour of the set with the setlist.

Big Bad Wolf (Lost Boys Remix) - Duck Sauce

Bristol must have something in it's water, because it seems to me like that town consistently pumps out the best bass music producers in the UK.  The Lost Boys are two producers out of Bristol who just got at me with their remix of Duck Sauce's 'The Big Bad Wolf.'  Give these guys credit, it's a seriously dope remix, better than most of the remixes I've heard of this track, which is a lot.  According to the Lost Boys themselves, this tune's got moombahton vibes at about 110 bpm, but do not fear, it still brings the heavy bass that we all love. Artist Spotlight: Mat Zo

BoomBox 'Me & My Baby' Free Download & Live Video + Winter Tour Announced

 

BoomBox is a really excellent electronic jam band out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.  If you have never heard of them, think somewhere in the neighborhood of Lotus or Papadosio.  These guys blew up fast with their really amazing live show, which I look forward to seeing February in Dallas.  For those who don't know, BoomBox member Zion Godchaux's parents were Keith and Donna Jean Godchaux, who both played with Grateful Dead.  BoomBox have just announced their "Souvenirs, Novelties and Party Tricks Tour,' with notable stops in Charlotte on 1/28 at Neighborhood Theatre and in Dallas on 2/16 at Trees (see whole schedule here.)  With this announcement they released a live video and free download of the unreleased track 'Me & My Baby' which grooves extremely nicely.  You can click here or below to get to BoomBox's bandcamp, where you can grab the track. Here's a massive tune from Caspa and very impressive remixes of it from Emalkay and Roska.  The drums in this track are what get me... the guitar in the Emalkay remix is really nice too.  Until today this track was under the 'downloaded but never listened to' category.  I really like the video for Fulham 2 Waterloo, so check that out too.  Couldn't ignore this tune, I'm living in Waterloo after all. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

Two very relevant pieces of new pertaining to Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.  The Oxford producer has released his new single 'Dream On' for free.  Also, last night at Nokia Light Up The Night with Deadmau5 (see video below) I was pleasantly surprised to to see T.E.E.D. come out to open for Deadmau5.  Between his stegosaurus costume and Mau5's head it's safe to say Light up the Night had a solid costume game going on.  T.E.E.D. brought out Louis from Lulu and The Lampshades for 'Garden', while Deadmau5 brought out SOFI for 'Raise Your Weapon.'  The visuals were truly amazing, I've never seen anything like it, definitely check out the video below.

Tiesto - Love Comes Again (Hardwell 2011 Rework)

I posted the preview for this track a few weeks ago, it was a rip from one of Hardwell's sets.  The official version, released today on Black Hole Recordings, is a really great edit of the old track from Tiesto.  Stays true to the original, but brings Hardwell's style in well too.

    On a different note, Deadmau5 is playing a free show in London tonight for Nokia.  Apparently he'll be on top of a building with some kind of crazy 4D light show.  I'll be there for sure, check out the video below, and go to Nokia's Facebook Page at 9:00 GMT to stream the show if you're not in London.  Enjoy.

Artist Spotlight: Leventina

Last night at Ministry of Sound, Deniz Koyu and Fedde le Grand took over Ministry of Sound, and yours truly was on the guest list courtesy of Deniz Koyu.  It was an amazing show, Fedde played a 3 hour set, they both killed it and everyone was having a great time. 
      Anyways, today's spotlight is on Leventina.  Leventina are two DJ's from Switzerland who came on my radar maybe a month ago.  They make some really excellent progressive gems that I've been listening to a lot lately.  Their newest preview "Revolution" is awesome and should be released soon.  'We're Gonna Start' is unbelievable as well, a definite party starter.
