I've been mad busy all week, sorry about the lack of posts.
This weekend is going to be SICK, tonight Chip Tha Ripper and White Panda are playing at Trees for SAE's Halloween Party,and people, you better be there because it's gonna get crunk. Ghostland Observatory is also playing Saturday, and they just released their new CD "Codename: Rondo" this week, so that show should be nuts if you were able to get tickets. The new cd is fire, i'd suggest giving it a listen. If you couldn't get ghostland tickets or if thats not your jam, get down at Galactic on Halloween, it should be a really funky good time.

Daft Punk Surprise Performance + New Pretty Lights

AHH!!!! Daft Punk showed up at Pheonix's Madison Square Garden and played a surprise performance at the end of fellow frenchmen Phoenix's set last night.  Read the story and check out their set after the jump.  I want to see new studio album + US tour dates. soon.


Also, Pretty Lights dropped his newest EP, "Glowing In The Darkest Night," which you can pick up for free as usual over at prettylightsmusic.com.  It's his third of three EP's for 2010, and like "Spilling Over Every Side,"  it's an incredible EP, Derek breaks out some really crunchy beats... It's an 8 song EP, some highlight tracks include Still Night, Out Of Time, Drift Away and Gold Coast Hustle.. give it a listen.

A Place Behind The Moon

BIG GIGANTIC is playing tonight at Trees in Dallas with Alex B of Pnuma Trio, who is sick himself and mixed & mastered Big G's new album, "A Place Behind The Moon."  Big G's new album is incredible, it's a work of art and it has me SO excited for the show tonight.  When producer Xaphoon Jones of Chiddy Bang heard the new album, he immediately contacted the men of Big Gigantic and requested they remixed Chiddy's "Opposite of Adults."  These guys have one of the most unique sounds in electronic music today with the live drummer and saxophone.

I've seen Big Gigantic and it's gonna be a really fun really awesome show.  Whether you need convincing or not, pick up these tracks..

**Big G and Alex played four alternating one-hour sets until 3 and it was fucking incredible.  Alex played bass with Big Gigantic for the closer.. it was SO sick (he used to play bass/dj in pnuma trio)

This is a sick new track from Hooky, it's a remix of Don Diablo and Diplo's banger "Make You Pop."  Hooky puts his trademark dirt-nasty dubstep spin on it - this is a really sweet complex track.. I'm a huge fan, pick this one up..

PORTER ROBINSON

Meet Porter Robinson, he's a 18 year old high school student from Chapel Hill, North Carolina and he has been blowing up huge on Beatport the last month with his smash hit "Say My Name." First off, its amazing that he is only 18 and still in high school and second he's from NC so I had to show some love.  His track "I'm On Fire" is about to do the same damage as Say My Name if you ask me.  This kid is the second coming of Wolfgang Gartner, I would not forget his name -he's about to blow up huge..  Porter works with a lot of mau5-ish slow soft trance builds then unleashes really technical hard hitting drops and hooks, incorporating all sorts of crazy complex electro sounds including wobble from time to time.  He has been collaborating with the likes of Lazy Rich recently, check out the preview he released on soundcloud below.  Get these tunes!

WILDSTYLE METHOD!! Fresh BASSNECTAR Cuts
