Pass The Dutch

This post is going to be HUGE. I have been stashing these dutch songs away, and now the time has come.   Here are some dirty dutch bangers from the DUTCH MASTERS.

First up, Afrojack. He is one of my favorite DJ's right now, he's taken the game by storm and is already a huuuge player in the house music game even though he's only 21. Everything this guy touches turns to fire, everybody is trying to collaborate with him right now, and everybody was sampling his stuff at EDC. You got to check out all these Afrojack songs. Also, MTV did a segment on Afrojack, they proclaim him (correctly) as the biggest new name in house music, and interview big house DJ's to hear their opinion about Afrojack..cool stuff, check it out below.

Check out what House's biggest names have to say about Afrojack

"He's just introduced this entire new sonic palette to the whole spectrum of music" Tommie Sunshine knows whats up

Next up, Laidback Luke. Another one of my favorite DJ's, Laidback Luke is laidback about everything but his music, and he makes bangers!! His collaboration with the Swedish House Mafia boys produced the megahit "Leave The World Behind" and brought him to a new level of fame and international recognition. Here are some sweet tracks from Holland's Homeboy.
Break The House Down - Laidback Luke (be patient, last drop is so sick)

Chuckie, or DJ Chuckie, is a really exciting artist who has been around for a little while and is still really great. He's a great DJ, and he is also has that classic dutch sound, which I like a lot. He's on the big time Dirty Dutch Record label.. you need to check his music out!

That's all for me, I really hope you enjoy the dirty dutch tunes, because they are some of my favorites.

Peace.

Maybach Music, Taylor Gang, Jet Life

Rick Ross, Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa posted this song this morning at twenty minutes past four a.m., they must have been up really late, um, working. I generally dislike Rick Ross, but I also generally like Wiz and Spitta, so I gave this track a shot. I like it, at least Wiz and Curren$y's parts, its got a funky beat tho, you should check it out and see what you think.

Tiesto + Jay-Z?

Tiesto says he "would love to be in the studio with Jay-Z," I would have to say I would love that too. This could get interesting, in the meantime, here's some great new Tiesto songs. By the way you can hear Duck Sauce playing in the background when Just Blaze is being interviewed.

New Spitta, Big Boi & CuDi

Got four new singles from three rappers who's new albums are all set to drop soon. This is the very green album cover for Curren$y's new album Pilot Talk.

This is the new single featuring Mikey Rocks of The Cool Kids. This and "The Day" are off The Hot Spitta's new joint "Pilot Talk", set to drop July 13th, I'll be keepin' an eye on that for sure.

This is another single off Pilot Talk, its a good track, Jay Electronica is a rising star in my eyes and Mos Def always delivers.
So one of my buddies brought it to my attention that recently Curren$y has been "tweeting" about his new album Pillow Talk like six times a day on twitter, here are some hilarious quotes from him.

"Pilot Talk July 13th its remote mines on 007... Jet Life" hahah favorite one
"Pilot Talk July 13th... Like naked babes sliding down a crocodile mile water slide in ur front lawn...giggidy... Jet Life"
"Pilot Talk July 13th.. It will bring chicks and chips to ur house smoke everyone out and help cleanup the party mess.... Jet Life"

Here's the newest single off of Big Boi's "Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty" (best album name ever). I really like the T.I.-Big Boi southern hip hop collab. Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty is set to drop on July 6th. ..also, I would like to say goodbye to a tangerine sky, thank you for the memories, we will miss you.

**BONUS
Big boi posted on this site "Hello good people, I know the album leaked, I don't care if you download it, just support GREAT MUSIC on July 6th. Stank you!" What a G, and with Big Boi's blessing you can't feel bad. To listen to the whole album RIGHT NOW, click here to stream Sir Luscious Left Foot.

This live version is a little old, but it seems like with Mr. Rager and REVOFEV (= rev of ev, like revolution of evolution, yeah i just got that) that CuDi is going to be sticking with this emo singing rap on his new album, and to be honest he does it better than most, but still I think he should stick to straight rap. The new album is set to be called "Man on the Moon II, Revolution of Evolution, The Legend of Mr. Rager", which is a mouthful, and set to drop Sept. 14th.

Later.

...And The Cracks Begin To Show

Here's a really badass song from Flux Pavillion called Cracks, I really like what I've been hearing from this UK producer lately.

This track is called Gold Dust - if you haven't already heard it, then get ready because its an absolute banger as well.

Enjoy.

Further

The Chemical Brothers have a new CD out titled "Further," and it has a sweet album cover. Here's some of my favorite songs.

This has to be my favorite track on the CD, the only thing I can't decide is if I like the original or one of the remixes better. Definitely check out the remixes and the video, the remixes are great and the video incredible.

The Chemical Brothers are known to be one of the most visually impressive groups, both in their live shows and their music videos. Every song on "Further" will get a music video, or "accompanying film," heres the one for Swoon, definitely check it out, its one of my favorite music videos in a minute.

Dissolve - The Chemical Brothers
Love this track! The guitar on this one is really tight. There are also some sweet psychedelic sounds in between, this is all around great song.

Escape Velocity - The Chemical Brothers

This is a twelve minute long jam I really like. They do really well on this track, it builds and builds for at least two minutes until a beat emerges, then it constantly changes so it stays very interesting throughout.

**Swoon Remixes
Gotta pick up these remixes...

Massive Attack!

In Bassnectar's new track that he posted on soundcloud, Lorin remixes Massive Attack, one of the most popular Trip Hop groups of all time.

Peace.

POWER!!!

This is Kanye West's performance of "Power" the other night at the 2010 BET Awards. Firstly, check out what Kanye has around his neck, whatever it is its just ridiculous. Anyway, the video is pretty epic, first off, he is on top of a volcano that erupts smoke, second, hes standing in front of a giant screen that is basically showing either mountain range fly-bys or some sort of crazy weather. All in all, a pretty hilarious performance. I really like this song, great beat and Kanye goes hard.

Public Service Announcement

This is a Public Service Announcement. First off, congratulations to the US National Team for advancing past the group stages of this 2010 World Cup, a task that they did not complete four years ago. We had a shaky, and truthfully very lucky, draw against England, but still a good outcome for us. The second game against Slovenia, we were down two nil and made a great comeback to tie at 2-2. Then we even were set to go ahead after a beautiful free kick delivered by Donovan and volleyed home by Maurice Edu, however a horrible referee from Mali (who was not allowed to ref another game) called it offsides, or a foul, or something, nobody really knows, and in the end it finished a draw. The US then faced Algeria, a huge match against a side that had just drawn England 0-0, the game being contingent for us making it past the group stage and avoiding the national embarrassment of losing out in the group stage two World Cups in a row. We came out all guns blazing - we hit posts, we missed by inches, and incredible saves were made, and still, when the ninetieth minute was reached the score was still 0-0. All hope seemed lost for the US, while fans at home sat in disbelief of the possibility of drawing after dominating the game completely. Then in the ninetieth minute, with incredible speed on the counter attack, Donovan flies down the field, passes a through ball to Altidore, who sends in a cross to Dempsey who shoots and is denied by the goalkeeper. The rebound falls right back to the man who started it all, Landon Donovan, and he strokes it home for the win in the 90th minute! From a situation of desperation and hopelessness, to a scene of triumph and hope, there is no doubt the entire nation was jumping up an down in front of their televisions like I was - This picture of former President Bill Clinton sharing a Bud Heavy with our captain - Carlos Bocanegra - assures my restored faith in our US National Team. We now live to fight another day and hopefully to seek some revenge against Ghana, who outed us in 2006. Next game is Saturday at 2.

Now, to the music! The only way that first picture could have been more dominant was if there was Jay-Z in it, just so you have complete bosses in all areas - sports, music and politics. Oh wait, I happen to have some Jay-Z right here, for your listening pleasure.

This is one of my all time favorite tracks by Hova, and here are some great remixes as well.

This one's off of The Grey Album, Danger Mouse's remix cd of Jay's The Black Album.

9th Wonder is a producer out of Raleigh, North Carolina who got his start along with Big Pooh & Phonte in the North Carolina rap group Little Brother. He is quickly on his way to being one of the biggest producers in hip hop. Heres his take on the track

Filthy Dubstep

There is literally no doubt in my mind that dubstep is the fasting growing music type in the world. Dubstep music has made huuuuge jumps in the last few years, and personally i love the adjectives - grimy, filthy, disgusting, raw, etc... Anyways, enough of the history lesson, here are the dubstep tracks!

Datsik is a 21 year old up and coming dubstep producer from British Colombia, and believe me, he's gonna be huge. For all my people in Dallas, he is going to be playing July 2nd at Lizard Lounge, I would seriously suggest checking it out.

This is a pretty new track, and the best remix I've heard of Aloe Blacc's I Need a Dollar. I really love the slowed down tempo.

This is a my favorite remix of an Amanda Blank track that has been remixed a LOT. This was one of my first favorite dubstep jams, and I'm still playing it.

This is a song by Rusko that hits really hard, I love the part when Little Boot's vocals come in.

Here are two sick remixes from Rusko's label mate, Caspa. I absolutely love the first drop in this song.
This is a really chill dubstep song by Caspa, good remix all in all.

This is a older dubstep song from Bar9. This song is filthy - really dark, grimy stuff.. i love it.

Another Raindrops for yall! this one is as good or better as the LaRoche one, Doorly is a great dubstep producer.

Never have I heard so many sounds working in perfect rhythm to produce such a great dubstep track. Hooky's Rhinestone Eyes remix is absolute fire too.

This is an often overlooked track by Bassnectar thats a badass song for sure.

A heavy, hard hitting dubstep track from Druley with sweet drops.

This is a great track from Joker, gotta throw angus a shoutout for introducing me to Joker quite a while back.

Another powerful track from dubstep's heavy hitter Nero. He knows how to make a great dubstep song, I love most things he produces.

HOUSE FIRE!

So I went through my music, and these are some of the most classic fire house tracks I have! A lot of house's heavy hitters, including all the boys in Swedish House Mafia, Axwel, Van Buuren, Deadmau5, Tiesto and Dirty South. Also have some other less well known artists on this list, but they are all still fire.

This is a great new remix that is sure to get any dancefloor stompin.

I've heard a lot of remixes of this song, but this is by far the best.

This is a great track from Axwell and Dirty South, it's no wonder this is one of the most heavily sampled songs by DJs during live sets.

Louis LaRoche is probably my favorite French House DJ, he consistently pumps out great house tracks and remixes like this and his raindrops remix.

Two of the three Swedish House Mafia members do it big, with a great remix of the british rock band Hard Fi's Suburban Knights.

Everything Tiesto touches turns amazing, he is just so consistent.

This may or may not be considered house, but this is a sweet dance song.

I first heard this track from Dr. Leves himself. The guitar melody is just fantastic.

Two pure house tracks from house heavyweights Angello and van Buuren, Zocalo and Tivoli are classics.

A pretty chill remix from Deadmau5 to finish things off

Something 2 Ride 2

These are some classic hip hop tracks that are my personal favorites and always being played on my ipod. None of this radio hyped bullshit, these are some deep lyrics, smooth flows, and huge beats..

Royce da 5'9" and Phonte - Something 2 Ride 2

This is a great song to let spin and just cruise....
I love phonte too, hes reppin North Carolina

Another great track to cruise to, and i'm crazy about this chorus! its so catchy, impossible to get out of your head

Gang Starr - Code Of The Streets
I'm a huge Gang Starr fan, got to love Guru's monotone flow and anything DJ Premier produces is straight fire.

Wu Tang Clan - Triumph
One of the best rap groups of all time, I love anything Wu and all the rappers in the crew.

Big L - Flamboyant
Too bad Big L checked out early, Guru too for that matter, he was a great MC.

Andre Nickatina - My Homeboy's Chevy
Got to love Nicky, he has great flow and one of my favorite voices.

Devin The Dude - Doobie Ashtray
Super chill beat, super chill song, and even a happy ending.
"why they do me that way?"

Tribe is another great rap group, I love how Phife and Q-Tip go in on this one.

THE EAST COAST OVERDOSE! He may be last on this post, but Notorious is number one on my list, you just can't get any better than biggie.

These first few posts are muuchhh longer than they usually will be, but thats because they are some of my favorite tracks right now in every area, just so you can kind of get to know me.
