So I'm a huge fan of Tyler, Earl, and Hodgy and I really like their music and outlook. If you don't feel the same way, watch the DRONE interview with Tyler, The Creator and then try to tell me you don't at least understand why a lot of people do. Anyways, I was listening to "The Slim Shady" LP & EP and "The Marshall Mathers LP" the other day and I couldn't help but think that Tyler, The Creator and the Wolf Gang rappers are somewhat copying Slim Shady's style. Rapping about ridiculous shit like raping bitches stabbing people and talking shit about people they don't like. Both Tyler and Marshall were raised by single mothers, and both are incredibly creative and dark. Tyler is straight edge though which has a pretty big impact. I think a lot of people overlooked Shady's actual style because they classified him as a white rapper and that was it. I'm still a huge OFWGKTA fan, but you can't deny they are swag-jacking Slim Shady 10 years later, and it's going unnnoticed because Marshall Mathers / Eminem is rapping about his Detox, Retox etc.. Just an observation. Listen to the tunes and see what you think.
